During hurricane Ida, at least 43 people lost their lives in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey because of flooding. Diego Areas Munhoz reports about a family who lives just north of the Bronx. They survived. but the damage to their home is significant and they are struggling with insurance. He also talked with a a professor of earth and atmospheric science about the best ways New Yorkers can tackle new storms caused by climate change.
