Harlem View and two City College of New York (CCNY) students are finalists in the College Media Association‘s (CMA) Pinnacle Award competition. MFA candidate Jared Hoffman is a finalist in the Podcast category for “The Story Behind the Creation of the Trump Gaza Video.” Senior Tevin McKenzie, a communications major, is a finalist in the Feature category for his reporting, “Inside the Noise Crisis in NYC Loudest Neighborhood.” The online publication Harlem View is a finalist in the Media Website of the Year category.
Judges in the competition are college and university media instructors and advisors from all across the United States. The CMA supports journalism education, student journalism, the First Amendment and freedom of the press. Winners will be announced at the Media Fest conference in Washington, D.C. in mid-October.
